Andrew Brackett is a Lighting and Scenic Designer currently based in Central Wisconsin. He is the Assistant Professor of Lighting and Sound Design at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, teaching classes in Theatrical Design and Technology, managing the lighting and sound shops, and overseeing the lighting and sound for departmental production. Previously, he was the Assistant Professor of Lighting Design and Stage Management at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and the Assistant Professor of Theatre Design and Production at Fort Lewis College. Andrew has his MFA in Theater Design and Technology from Northern Illinois University specializing in Lighting Design. Following graduate school, Andrew had a post-graduate teaching fellowship at Shenandoah University. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 2008 with a BA in Technical Theater and Architecture. Professionally, Andrew has worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Disney Cruise Line, and has designed and technical directed for several small regional and dinner theater companies and high schools.
